Groove By Evidence

Groove

The mystical beat
The rhythm so enchanting
The Sound of drums, the piano and musical instruments float through the air
My heart vibrates to the truth
This tune my soul dances to
I groove

When I'm lost then am found
The rhythm is the only sound
It's soft, it's loud, it's full of energy, it's electric
I groove, move and dance around
I go far into the beyond
The Music takes my hand and we abscond
To a different world, I don't see or feel anything else
I just groove

I groove
No matter what is going on
No matter the problems or situations I face
I just play, listen and dance to my favorite Music
My every step is like a beating Fife
I tap dance, I waltz, do a disco and am good
I groove

Queen Esther and Her Song Abba Father

Meet Queen-Esther Nanchin Yadung. She hails from plateau state. From a family of seven (five kids). Her Father is a pastor in Living Faith Church. She studied Microbiology at Landmark University and is currently done with her youth service. She's 20 years old, born August 19, 1999.
When asked what Music meant to her, she said "Music has always been my first love, I'll always remember being hooked to our TV screen at home whenever hillsong worship was being played and felt such deep but genuine connection with it even at a tender age. I knew that was something I wanted to do. That seed of music was planted even before I joined the choir at age 13. I always loved leading worship.
That's my space entirely. When I lead worship or just engage in the act of worship, nothing else matters to me other than adoration to Jesus. I get so engrossed in His presence and always desire that my audience be conscious and fix their eyes on Him.
Music is my passion. I Love music. Music is life. This is my calling and I'll stay true to it because God told me so."
Queen-Esther also said that the whole aim and purpose of her music is to make people conscious of the love and person of God. She said and I quote "My music points to Jesus Christ and not to any man or even myself.

The song Abba Father speaks of the Father's heart and Love for us. It speaks of how close He wants us to be to Him. It's a cry of a desperate heart. A heart that longs us to be conscious of His presence in us. It speaks of His unfailing love and compassion for us even in our lowest state and when we least qualify. God loves and wants us, He always does".
So download and listen to Abba Father by Queen Esther. It is a song you will surely connect with. Follow the link, download and enjoy.

"For a while I haven't been able to put out songs, had a lot that have been dealing with, and my fans keep coming to me asking when you gonna give us a new music....
I couldn't say anything cuz I had alot that I was dealing with. Alot of struggles and pain that I wanna breakout from and let go of .
And on this day I just Picked up my notepad and I started writing, talking about what i have been dealing with and wanting to breakout from em all, wanting to see the sun,  letting Go of my pains and breaking out from my struggles..

SALVATION BY AIYEJINNA ABRAHAM

SALVATION
Salvation is:
the freest gift
from Mercy's throne.
The loving lift
from Hades's throne.
Eternal rift--
it doth atone.
The shrieking swift
that calls its own.

Salvation is:
the manger's hay
for that whole night.
The Angels sway
in splendid mirth.
The magi say
"His star is bright!".
The magi stray
to find the light.

Salvation is:
the only route
to Paradise.
The only shoot
of sacrifice.
It's absolute,
loud and precise
It sings by flute
"I paid the price!"

THE KNAVISH KING BY AIYEJINNA ABRAHAM

THE KNAVISH KING

Death, is that you?..
The scorpion's sting,
on carnal hearts.
The flowing ink,
of misery's arts.
The knavish king,
who dons in swart.
The one who sings,
sorrow to Earth.

Death, I know you?..
The timeless thief,
of day and night.
Six feet's your fief,
you own such site.
You enforce grief,
and gripping fright.
You hate relief,
you strive till night.

Death, I tell you:
You'll surely die,
time is your grace.
You'll say goodbye,
right to my face.
Your face will cry,
filled with grimace.
Death you will die,
when time is space!

An example of the AIYEJINNIAN Poem

THE AIYEJINNIAN

THE AIYEJINNIAN
The Aiyejinnian Is a poem form that was invented by AIYEJINNA ABRAHAM OSHOKUNOFA
 (Pen name: AIYEJINNA ABRAHAM O.)
AIYEJINNA ABRAHAM OSHOKUNOFA is a Nigerian that hails from Edo state. He’s is a member of the Northside Authors (NSA)—A Nigerian based organization that shapes the life of writers (including him) to their greatest potential—and he has written over forty different poems (when counting already published solo and duet).
Aiyejinna Abraham Oshokunofa writes only poetry; as no prose or articles have been published by him.
He invented The Aiyejinnian and wants to share it with the world of poets.

How to Write An AIYEJINNIAN poem Yourself

The Aiyejinnian is a poem form that contains nine lines of four syllables each. It can be used to give an answer to a question, define a theme, narration etc.
There can be any number of verses in this form (from one to many).

 Here is its basic structure:
(X’s stand for syllables)
stanza 1:.              Stanza 2
XXXA.                     XXXA
XXXB.                     XXXD
XXXC                      XXXE
XXXB.                     XXXD
XXXC                      XXXE
XXXB.                     XXXD
XXXC                      XXXE
XXXB.                     XXXD
XXXC                      XXXE

YOU CAN CREATE AS MANY STANZA AS YOU WISH.
Don't be confused by the diagram, it is just a guide for you to refer to as you write your Aiyejinnian!
If you look at the diagram, you will see that each line of the Aiyejinnian has 4 syllables.
It would be best to use an iambic or trochaic dimeter or a mixture of both (with high professionalism)

Another ingredient is The rhyme scheme.
The Aiyejinnian has no complicated rhyming. It uses end rhymes, repeating the rhyme for the first line in every first line of a new stanza.
Here's the easier way:
Stanza 1   stanza 2
A.               A
B.               D
C.               E
B.               D
C.               E
B.               D
C.               E
B.               D
C.               E
Stanza 3 will also look like the first two except for the second to the ninth rhymes that will go FGFGFGFG.
You can write as many stanzas as possible.

Literary devices are of great importance in this form especially the metaphors and personification.
Alliteration, consonance, assonance, are also welcome.

Punctuations are very important in this form, as they help convey your exact meaning in every line or group of lines.

The inventor gives His Appreciate to:
First God—He made it possible.
The Northside Authors—they’re a great organization
Solomon David Garba Hena—They’re like brother’s
And also all his friends and we’ll wishers.

Back To You by Evidence and Chinyere Lizzy

Back To You

I remember those days, when we would talk for hours
Have beautiful conversations, and I would just bask in your presence
I always looked forward to reading your words, they always brought comfort to my soul and opened my eyes to so many mysteries
It started with a place in time, a space in my heart, a never ending smile you put on my face
A joy that could never be replaced
A fire that burned, a desire of love, a passion for God
I don't know how or where, but I lost it all
I went down memory lane
Was beginning to to get cold feet
Whenever I hear your name, my heart no longer went racing
This was unlike me
I knew I couldn't stay here or else my faith would fail me
So I went back in time, to the place we first met
To when you swept me off my feet and I fell madly in love with you
When you held my hand and promised not to let go
Lord this is my heart's cry to you
Revive me again
Am laying it down, the distractions, the pain, depression, anxiety, worries
I need you
I'm running back to you
Falling into your grace and love again
I need a surgeon, I need a friend
Set my heart on fire again
Am back to you, never looking back
Never letting go again
Back To You Jesus❤️

Back to you

I wanted to be like time
To fly and never return.
I thought I was fed up
Thinking that with you I am done.
But here I am, behaving like a stone,
Falling down after every throw.
You are the down
And back to you I fall.

Back to you I come.
Like a dead man
Destined to return to dust.
Your are the dust
From you I come
On you I live
And back to you I shall return.

You are a tree that I stoned
And you offered me fruits in return,
Like Siberian tiger, you were never provoked
I left on my own and you let me go.
Now I have become a yellow leaf that was initially green
Destined to obey whenever the ground calls.
You are the ground
And back to you I fall.

Back to you I come
Promising to be a dog that you grow
Forever loyal I shall be to your cause.
Back to you I come
You are my home
Wherever I go
To you I shall always return.
