Meet David Dare Robinson popularly known as Minister Dare Strings. He hails from ughelli south in delta state. Resides in kaduna at the moment, a graduate of Architecture from the Kaduna Polytechnic. He is from a family of 7 and is the first child.
Dare loves praying, singing, song writing, teaching, reading, travelling and playing the violin. He discovered he could sing in 2012, prior to that time he has always had passion for Music, he was a drummer and was learning to play the Keyboard. He always admired those who could sing and play the keyboard and it was his dream to one day sing while playing the keyboard and just bless God.
The opportunity came during a youth program in his church, the youth leader asked if there was anyone who wanted to render a special number during the program, he indicated his interest and when the leader saw that no one else was interested he gave him the opportunity to sing. After his ministration everyone was amazed and asked him why he had been hiding since.
The next step he took was to build himself, after his first ministration he didn't just launch out to sing, he focused on getting better, he spent time rehearsing alone and improving his gift and skill. He came out fully in 2014, he would sing and play and even though he wasn't the best, he was passionate about music so he looked for materials and groomed himself to be better.
Dare learnt to play the violin in 2014. He met his tutor through her kids. When asked how it has been from when he learnt how to play in 2014 till date he said " It's been amazing, Music is in such a way that the higher you go, the more you want to know and the more you feel you have not gotten there yet. I've been growing, I have people I follow and look up to in and outside the country, I have friends I look up to, friends I share ideas with and learn from, it has been growth, growth, growth.
Apart from being a Music Minister, Dare Strings is a Music tutor, he also does consultancy, if you want to repair or replace any musical instrument he's got you covered. He has passion for tech, he loves web design, graphic designs, video production, anything tech, he also loves architecture, he loves designing buildings, he loves to learn things. He also loves teaching, teaching music, evangelism, counselling, he loves traveling too, to have fun and see new places (sight seeing).
The name "Dare Strings" came through a friend of his. Before then his peers in church called him Dare blaze and his friend said since he plays the Violin and keyboard why not use Strings instead of blaze and he alone started calling him Dare Strings and that's how the name was birthed and is known all over. He has recorded 3 songs: Kiniun, Intimacy and Spirit of The Living God.
The song Intimacy was released January 2020. The song came at the end of 2019, it's a song that talks about having a deeper walk, intimacy with God. It's a heart cry to God asking that he helps him build Intimacy with him, to fellowship and have intercourse with the Holy Spirit as his lover.
When asked where he sees himself in the next 3 to 5 years he said "I see myself where God wants me. As a man I can only just make plans for myself but if that's not where God wants me to be I will have to conform to his will and plans for me. He organizes Music lessons for those who want to learn how to play the violin and other musical instruments especially children.
Dare's advise to Music ministers and young believers who are doing one thing or the other to glorify God is that "if you stay with God he will never leave you". Stay committed to God, pray more, intensify things you have been doing ,don't drop the standard for yourself. Work on yourself, on your character,be humble, yearn for growth, desire to grow, there's always something to learn, there's a better version of you that you haven't gotten to yet. Stay with God, be consistent, zealous and hard-working. Don't do without prayers.
