Who Is This Jesus
Who is this Jesus
I've heard so much about him
I've been told who he is and what he came to do
I've been told he came and died for my sins
So I can be reconciled back to God
To destroy the works of Satan
That I may have life and have it more abundantly
Who is this Jesus
I heard of his good works
How he healed the sick, raised the death, freed the oppressed
What manner of Man is this
He walked the earth, taught men, had disciples, was beaten, crucified, died and rose again
He made an impact on his generation
There's no one like him that has ever lived
But Who is this Jesus?
There is more to him than meets the eyes
More than I've heard or been told
He's much more
Jesus is the way, truth and life
He is our Messiah and Savior
Our King and Lord
He is love personified, full of compassion and care
Jesus is for us, we belong to him
He came to bring us closer to God
He made having an intimate relationship with God possible
Now we can Know God for ourselves, we can approach him, we can fellowship with him one on one
Oh, he now lives and resides in us, he is no longer far beyond our reach
This Jesus
He is our friend and lover
He is our hope and our everything
No man can meet Jesus, can truly encounter Jesus and remain the same
He's more than hear says, more than stories
It's a reality we have walked into
An experience of who he is
Oh Jesus is more
It cannot be explained in words
Come and taste and see
Desire him, to know him and he will reveal himself to you
He will make those words you have read, the ones you have heard
He will make them come alive in you
He will pour out his love and himself to you
You will know him, the power of his resurrection and fellowship in his sufferings
Jesus is Who you need and more.
