Nigeria @ 60 By The Northside Authors

Nigeria (NEGRO- AREA) @60!

Happy independence day, Grandma.
Oh! you have come a long way,
your thirty six sons celebrate you,
your head tie is a flag of hope.

Happy Independence day!
How the lush green of the fields are flourishing,
basking under the white band on your arms' coat.
Indeed threescore years of standing. Stand tall, giant!

Happy Independence day!
A toast to Grandma's sixty, for sixty merits a feast.
We extol Grandma, she gave us goal and autonomy.
For her reign, ends the dine with putrid slavery.

Happy independence day!
As long as your toilings never cease;
your land will gush out milk and honey,
your years of greener pastures won't be denied.

Happy Independence day!
Grandma to our birth, home to our death.
Which comfy arms have we than our Grandma's?
At times we wish to flee, But God never made errors.

Happy Independence day!
Grandma that holds the memories of our childhood,
Full of promise, filled with riches and resources.
We bless you - our Grandma, you shall soar high.

Happy independence day!
Cheers to the mountains you moved.
Amidst all storms, you're still standing strong.
The Grandma of us all. Long live our Pride.

Happy birthday Negro area,
Happy birthday Niger area,
Happy birthday 9ja area,
Happy freedom Nigeria!

We have high hopes for Nigeria! when others see Nigeria as a failure, we see it as a country that will be successful.
Some may see it as a generally stricken country, but we believe mighty generals will emerge for it's betterment. To not have HOPE is a problem itself.
More so, extend love to family, friends and strangers. God bless you all! God bless us!
